Anilao is one of the famous tourist destinations in the Philippines in terms of water sports and recreations. This part of Batangas is sought after because of the SCUBA diving adventures it can offer to its visitors. I have been to Anilao more than a couple of times and most of it were due to scholastic works and SCUBA diving.
But what if you are not a water sport enthusiast? Well, it is not a secret that Anilao doesn’t have pristine white sand beaches compared to other parts of Batangas like San Juan and Calatagan. But wait, there is an exception, though not part of the main land Anilao, Sepok or Sepoc Island can give you an adrenalin rush for some beach bumming activities.
Sepok Island is a private island and an extension of Eagle Point Resort. I had the opportunity to visit this island not only once but thrice. AMAZING right?
Coming to the island requires you to check in or make a reservation from Eagle Point Resort. They will arrange everything from boat to food.
The small island is a 30-minute boat ride. As you reach the place you will fall in love with its panoramic landscape, a combination of white, blue and green. This place is a perfect venue for family outing, corporate activities or simply a group bonding moments with your friends.
The sand is not as fine compared to Boracay or Bantayan but just right enough for a perfect beach getaway. There is a covered activity center to where you can have also your lunch or snacks.
On the right end of the little cove is a rock formation but I suggest not to spend your time there as I spotted some banded sea snakes on the rock crevices. That particular area was the exact place where the famous teleserye “ Dyesebel” was filmed, in particular, Dugong’s domain.
If you want a celebrity life- like privacy or simply be in commune with nature, this place is perfect for you.
This paradise is waiting for you and it is just one click away. Enjoy!
