Undoubtedly the southern countryside of
Mindanao shelters some of the best places in the Philippines, beach
destinations in particular. The beach of Gumasa and other places in the province of Sarangani
is hardly seen in the limelight in showcasing their best kept secret paradise.
I had once visited the unheard place in 2011 as my very first official solo backpacking
trip in the Philippines. It was the first dare travel carrying only with little cash on hand and a huge baggage of faith and courage to unravel the secret of
Sarangani.
Back then, I was truly mesmerized with the glam
of Gumasa located outskirt of Glan City. It was a revelation that the silent
province can define what true beach paradise was by just experiencing its almost
untainted fine sugary sand. It was just alluring to wade and swim carelessly into
its clear blue water. Resorts standing along the beach receive a very few
visitors that are usually limited only from the region.
That was then! After Gumasa made the headline
and featured on blogs as one of the target destinations in the south, tourists
and wanderers flocked into the secret beach, creating opportunities for the locals
to have an additional source of income. The beach is the venue also of the neophyte
SarBay (Sarangani Bay) Festival being held every May. Beach side landowners saw the great
opportunity of the event and with the increasing
number of visitors, lucky resort owners were cashing out from the free
promotions made by some travel writers.
I was curious on the development on the bay, so, on my recent 2014 summer escapade
series, I dauntlessly hit the road to Gumasa. To my
surprised, there wasn't much of a change in the town proper of Glan; still glittered with same
old spots of establishments standing very lax, in short it was the
same boring town as it was before.
We Just Love Eavesdropping, Don't We?

Unconcerned staff and personnel of White Haven Resort. |
For a change, I decided to visit Coco Beach
Resort but to my unimaginable expectation I was not in a way received politely and
with lots and lots of angst coming from their receptionist saying " You
have to pay for a cottage if you wish to enter our resort" But I told
them that " Sorry but I am only
here for a day tour and I will not stay for long" then he replied " No
sir you can' t come in if you are not going to rent a cottage" . then I surrendered saying " Ok then just let me have one" " Sorry sir
we are fully booked and you can't stay for overnight" ... I replied with a
little emphasis " You told me I can’t enter without a cottage and now I am
willing to pay for one and you are telling me there is none and still I can't get
to the beach? How irresponsible for you to say that and let me wait here rotting,, letting
my only means of transportation left me here. Can I just go to the other resort The
White Haven by crossing the beach side?" " Yes sir but you have to
pay P30 " "What the F#@k?"
Finally at the end of our diplomatic conversation, the lady in-charged
allowed me to pass through with the condition that I shall only be visiting
White Haven and not checking Rosal Beach Resort. It turned out that the owner of Coco Beach
Resort and White Haven are siblings. And guess what? The White Haven was also
fully booked and I had the same argument. They still insist that I have to pay P500
for a cottage and when I said OK, they told me they can’t accommodate me as
they don’t have any available cottage.

It was just so unfair for the people of Glan that only a single clan owns a parcel of the beach side and have monopolized the resorts in the area. The
staff and personnel of these resorts also reacted with all the guts to act as if they were also the owner of Gumasa.
Shame on them ! I won't tolerate this and I am all out saying NOT TO PATRONIZE these scum bag commercialized establishments who know no respect to their guests much more to the people who anonymously promoting their place.
Congratulations for being the BEST BITCH RESORT EVER!
their prices are rip off too, to think that there's a lot of vacant and free lots nearby. nakatikim pa kami libre at sangkatutak na buko..
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ian, Isla Jardine del Mar Resort may be a little bit far and pricey but the quality and service is 1000 times better than in Coco Beach Resort and White Haven Resort ... shame on them...
ReplyDeleteThis is just disheartening to know they are the reason for people to hate Gumasa or worst the entire Mindanao...
ReplyDeleteWe've been to Isla Jardin del Mar yesterday and indeed, our needs were addressed immediately. Gotta love to visit the place again! Haay! I'm missing it already! :D
ReplyDeletei am so happy that you'd been to a better accommodation... coco and white haven were total disaster
ReplyDeleteagree on this. sa coco beach. expected ko na may bayad. nung papunta kami, i was in constant contact tapos nung di kami nakarating sa oras. ung price na sinabi sa akin, di na raw yun at di na available ung cottage. buti nalang joseph checked out and saw na available naman ung cottage. gusto lang na ung mataas na cottage rate ang bayaran namin. pero honestly, di ako nagandahan sa beach. ang dumi nung place.
ReplyDeletenakaka loko sila @Trip@dora .I was surprised na di na ganun kaganda ung quality ng beach maybe because of the SarBay .
ReplyDeleteWe the people own the beaches. Not some capitalist landlord politicians.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. I and my friends receive the same treatment. But i would say that the 2 mentioned beaches are not the only spot to visit in Glan. There are far more better resorts to visit. ISLA JARDIN DEL MAR is an awesome resort. They value customer service and they are very approachable. I hope that you will stil consider Sarangani in your future summer escapade..
ReplyDeleteKarelate jud ko ani ...ana pod ang nahitabo sa amoa sa ako amiga ....the incharge of the resort want us to rent a cottage though we told her that we will just stay for about 3 hours kasi uuwi rin kami sa gensan we just need to relax and to think huh so mahal ng rent nila sa cottage but again she said no maam we cant accept like that ..and ok fine ..we decided to go sa isla jardin and they treated us very nice and as ever sa isla jardin talaga suki namin ..it just nong pumunta kami sa coco la kami choice kasi ang sasakyan ng frnd ko di kaya ang sa papuntang isla kaya don kami pero because of their treatment we decided not to go there anymore ever !!! And sana ang management ng resort na yan itrain ang kanilang mga taohan kasi they must know na they are dealing with people na magiging guest nila ...at sa pera natin cla nabubuhay kasi sinisweldohan cla ..haay.. ilove isla jardin !!
ReplyDeleteGood thing we didn't go there. We might end up in disaster! Haha! :D
ReplyDeleteI blogged about coco beach dati ( http://www.wandershugah.com/2013/02/coco-beach-gumasa-glan-sarangani.html )and I didn't stressed the part na ininsist nila ako to get a cottage when I only have an hour or two to check out the beach and ung dulo ng resort. I agree, bastos sila mg accomodate ng guests. D ko nlng tlga pinatulan as I was too tired for an argument.
ReplyDeleteIt is really sad to know a beautiful place runs by not so beautiful(in terms of attitude) people...sorry po sa asal nila... di po lahat ng tao don ganyan... sana bumisita ka pa rin don kahit na di sa mga resorts na yon....
ReplyDeleteI have experienced the same and swear to god to never return to that bitch resort. I guess the owner have trained their staff to be that rude. That's their own interpretation of the concept "treat the business as if it's your own". Siguro mas malala pa ang may-ari.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip..
ReplyDeleteI would agree to this.Just recently, pumunta kami sa white haven bringing with us tourists para n rin ma promote ang Gumasa, then we got the same treatment.parehong pareho talaga sir, from White Haven,Coco and Rosal.yang na mention mo na place sir n wlang resort pro maganda, dyan din kami nkastay. At least nakinabang pa ang mga locals(a few years back) tpos this year, doon n kami pumunta sa Isla Jardin del Mar,Kaya my hubby and I decided, that if we have tourist friends eh sa Isla Jardin del Mar n kami at hindi sa mga boastful resorts.
ReplyDeletesame happened to us back in january 2014.. very rude... very rude indeed. they have to adjust their policies. we just effin stayed for less than an hour and have to rent an entire cottage!!!
ReplyDeleteI was once in that similar situation.. But i was able to overcome their rudeness.. But thats one sad reality.. I hope dra. Adarna of white haven n sibling in coco beach will look unto this.. Go to isla del mar instead! Staff ther are well trained coz its a subsidiary of. A hotel in gensan:) plus the owners are great
ReplyDelete!:)
Thanks for blogging about your not so good experience with them :|
ReplyDeleteIsla Jardin's the best, man. Trust me. They have more activities there, and the people are friendly.
ReplyDeletewhy am I not suprised with Coco beach :D
ReplyDeleteYes, that happened to me and my family too! Which is why, we decided not going back to Gumasa anymore, even for SarBay or for anything because of these gaddem resorts...Class-"F" accomodation and attitude ...
ReplyDeletesame experience also.. actually hindi maganda ang beach same with the staff in the reception.. we prefer 'ISLA JARDIN DEL MAR' malau pro ung satisfaction andun.. and friendly approachable staffs..
ReplyDeleteTimailhan rana na wala jud nabal.an ang ila mga staff og ang tag.iya dawat limpyo lang..nice jud ang isla jarden well trained ila mga staff unsaon nlang tagiya pud sa sydney hotel ang owner..so gina value jud ang mga costumer sing local o foreign pana..
ReplyDeletedidto nalang mo ligo sa among beach (nangangkon) ^_^ sa beach ni Pacquiao katong sa right side sa dulo. didto mi permi ga ligo sa akong asawa... just talk to the caretaker and pay the rent for the cottage if you wanna use it or just entrance (tip) kung dili mo gamit sa cottage. ^_^ Enjoy the view ^_^
And i want to say sorry para sa inasal nila. Sorry pooooohh,
ReplyDeletePS: Smile ;) ^_^
Sorry po sa inasal nla.Malamang di sila na train on how to treat guest.I hope nabasa ng mga owners ng beach resorts ang mga comments nyu at ng malaman nila ano kulang at mali.
ReplyDeleteSa right pnka dulo nlang kayo maligo free pa.haha..puti pa tlaga ang sand.
ReplyDeleteI also share the same experience last April 11, 2014. Me and my office mates thought we could enjoy a time before holyweek..boarded three SUVs...the guard told us to pass the other way, but we found out later the owner got so angry kasi bakit daw dumaan sa ibang property, to hink kapatid lang nya may ari nearby beach..wtf no. 1. The staff, eve security guards...so inept...and even the the owner of such beach resort, so UNREASONABLE. wtf no. 2, aside from P7,000.00 booking, the owner insisted we have to get another cottage kasi somobra ng isa (1) we are all sixteen, so dapat fifteen lang daw per cottage!wtf no. 3, in every rule there should be an exception! so unreasonable, PWERSAHAN, pakunin kami ng another cottage and pay another P7,000.00 just for one person!...and to think, we also payed P200.00 each para sa entranct! ganito ka grabe magnegosyo???sila! We agreed, we shall NEVER RETURN TO THAT BEACHES (bitches) ANYMORE!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree..that's our beach as well! ahahahah nangangkon pud.lolz..
ReplyDeletemao! very pritine place.. best texture of sand. religiously maintained by very mabait caretaker. you can stay overnight with you tent.. and very romantic. a ral escape from city life kay walay kuryente.. so make sure to bring emergency light and bottled water too.. :D
ReplyDeletejust to let them know. the caretaker lives across the street. they are nice people so be nice to them ^_^ if you are planning to stay overnight, make sure to have your match or lighter to create bonfire. some fuels can be found behind the walls. ^_^
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD ! grabe naman ung experience nio.. supposedly if you are renting a cottage wala na dapat entrance fee ! Bitch talaga hahaha... spread the word!
ReplyDeletethis side of Gumasa is way better than the beach front of those over decorated bitch resorts este beach resorts...
ReplyDeletedaylight view... with the best model ^_^
ReplyDeleteKeep sharing this blog so that the owners will be aware of this. No resort owner wants to treat their guests like that. I for one likes to go there with my family but that was years ago. Did not encountered such thing because pag sinupladuhan nila kami, isang kasa lang ng baril ang katapat nyan. hahaha. Anyway, i hope this blog becomes viral para makarating sa owners. Sayang yung ganda ng place kung masisira lang because of poor staff courtesy.
ReplyDeletea beautiful morning.. :D
ReplyDeleteBobo pala
ReplyDeleteYes, there might have been miscommunication and lack of customer service satisfaction, but seriously, some unnecessary comments made.
ReplyDeleteThe way this blog was written - focusing mainly on the negative(barely constructive criticism) will surely deal a huge blow to the place's tourism.
ReplyDeleteexactly, that is the consequence of their own action. the perfect example of "The Tragedy of the Commons".I have helped constructively promoted them before, sad they did not take the opportunity to develop it POSITIVELY! check my previous review about the place http://www.lovemindanao.com/2012/07/gumasa.html
ReplyDeleteI guess it's okay to state your opinion sir and I agree that there's always room for improvements. However, I'd say that the personnel were only doing their job of implementing the rules and regulations of the resort as they were instructed to them. I think that is in no way being disrespectful. Rules and regulations are necessary to keep things in order. I get your side because it can be disappointing not to get to enjoy what you originally planned to do because the place is fully booked. The distance that you needed to travel was quite long and you definitely had to travel for almost an hour from the city. However, it's not fair to say that you were treated wrong. This is especially the case for White Haven. Me and my friends have been visiting that resort for many times already and their personnel treated us well. I think that telling you that the place is full and that you can no longer be accommodated isn't being discriminatory. Plus, your picture above with the label "Unconcerned staff and personnel of White Haven Resort." is kind of egotistic. You don't go to a place and expect all the people there to entertain you and cater to your needs. These people have other jobs and other customers to attend to as well. Come on. You even had the audacity to say "To my surprised, there wasn't much of a change in the town proper of Glan; still glittered with same old spots of establishments standing very lax, in short it was the same boring town as it was before." It should have been "To my surprise" by the way. Wrong grammar there my friend. Did you honestly expect the town to be improved and full of new establishments just because you decided to go back there? Seriously? Lol.
ReplyDeleteThe son of the owners of White Haven is a good friend of mine and even he gets the rules and regulations and doesn't expect special treatment. We go there during the Sarangani Bay Festival, which is the peak season of the place as it gets flooded with guests during that time. We often fail to book a cottage or a room for ourselves so we just sleep in tents. It's no biggie for me nor my friend. This is the son of the folks who own the place and he doesn't act like a little brat just because he gets to sleep in a tent rather than an air conditioned room. If you want to fully enjoy the place, I'd advice you to call and get yourself booked in advance so you don't end up wasting your time when you get there in case you decide to visit the place again. It pays to plan your travels more carefully. :)
"Wrong grammar there my friend" - boss, it's already ungrammatical. It should be bad grammar or incorrect grammar... tsss
ReplyDeleteThanks but to criticize my grammar here is not the point. I could write everything backwards if i wanted to. The whole point of this post is to get their attention that they are really destroying the image of the place we helped to promote. You can tell that to your FRIEND which i wont be surprised for you and your friends to be treated by their personnel better than those guests who experienced worst. READ BELOW on peoples story. Your opinion is counted but the testimonies of the public are more reliable...it seems more people who read this share sentiments on the practice of those resorts.
ReplyDeletei won't contest that @batangpx . hahahaha.. sabi nga nila bumato ang walang bahid ng pagkakamali... walang ibang mapuna kaya grammar ang punahin.Okay lang naman kasi I write in an instant without any editor on my side and matanong ko lang anong publication mo @Mister Krabs , gusto kong basahin din sana ...meron ba?
ReplyDeleteJust try Isla Jardin maybe a little too far. Pero sulit :D
ReplyDeleteWe did the same thing... After the bad encounter with coco beach resort, we immediately proceeded to isla jardin...
ReplyDeleteoh no! this post reminds me one of the my "disappointments" as a laagan. (i just updated my FB status) :D
ReplyDeleteWait til you meet the owner of White Haven. BIGGEST DOUCHEBAG I ever met in my entire life. Never go to these resorts, they suck bigtime.
ReplyDeletedoon kami dinala. the staffs are friendly and no entrance kkain ka lang ng lunch and you can use the cottage for free. and we stayed from 10am to 4pm we don't pay for cottage and entrance... kaya yong challenge lang sa Isla jardin mabato yong beach you need to wear slippers. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1550642402888&set=a.1548127260011.72762.1139965565&type=3&theater
we have the same experience last december 2014, 4 kmi ng frends ko.. sa rosal yun, pag pasok namin we rented a cottage then wala kaming foods so nag order kmi ng foods, wala din kami utensils so kinausap namin yung staff. pwede daw mag order ng food pero hindi daw cla naghahatid sa cottage and hindi cla nagpapahiram ng mga utensils at if ever may charge yung utensils kung hiramin namin. so sabi namin dun nalang kmi kakain sa mini restaurant nila. then nagpunta na kmi sa cottage, need namin mag charge ng phone, nka lock ang socket may charge daw 50pesos kung mag charge ng phone di pa pala kasama sa cottage charge yun. then habang nag hihintay kami ng food may lumapit sa amin na mga turista at nag ask kung nag bayad daw ba kami sa camera namin kasi sinisingil daw cla sa entrance ng camera fee para sa picture kasi may bayad daw mag picture sa loob. Grabe kasi yung group sobrang dissappointed na then umalis nalang cla. then sobrang tagal na wala paring lumapit sa amin kung luto na ba food namin so kmi pa ang pumunta dun sa staff nila to ask, inshort luto na pala food namin. so pmunta kami dun sa mini restaurant nila para kumain, hindi namin naubos yung food so kinausap namin yung staff kung pwede namin hiramin yung food warmer pra dun lang namin ilagay yung food, may charge daw 1000PESOS!!!! OMG!!! no choice, bigay kami ng 1000 total mababawi naman namin after pagbalik namin ng food warmer. our point is that para clang mga robot na pera pera ang usapan, they are not concerned sa mga customer nila and bawat galaw mo may charge.. kulang nalang pati pag use ng CR may nakabantay dun na mangil bawat ihi or bawat tae. sabi namin na HINDING HINDI NA KAMI BABALIK SA "BITCH" RESORT NA YUN and yes, they need to train their staff about customer service.
ReplyDeleteFuck those hellhole beaches
ReplyDeletecorrection: december 2013 pala :P
ReplyDeleteIs this the same as Coco Beach in Siquijor because I loved the service there? Sayang naman if they won't maintain consistency in other locations.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo true! We have experienced this kind of treatment last year's Sarbay Fest.. White Haven's staff (the gay) was unaccommodating and always has a price next to our every query.. There was a girl who approached the reception inquiring on some stuff, at the same time texting her friends who arrived earlier at the location.. while we stayed there waiting for our order, we heard the girl asked the guard where Coco beach is, since her friends have settled there.. Tinuro pa talaga ng guard na lumabas sya ng gate and retake the uphill climb to the main road kaysa pa'daanin sya sa beach front where Coco beach can be at sight close.. Grrrr! Nakaka GALIT! gi'FC (feel close) nalang namin si girl to have her walk with us to the beach front and led her way to her friends.. Me and my friends swore not to stay there for this year's festival.. The blogger is right about the right end side of Gumasa.. It's nice and quiet there, away from the crowd.. and there is a lady who puts up a karinderia every Sarbay fest who has the best tasting Bistek, she had us tried it for free when we only have ordered our typical sunny-side-up-egg-and-hotdog-breakfast.. She said we could also pitch a tent there.. they have set up electricity, there is water for bath and it's guarded at night.. We definitely would want to stay there in this year's Sarbay Fest!
ReplyDeleteI have read your blog and I find it comparable to that of a baby's way of thinking... We all know that the beach is owned by the public, great job in telling us that. I would agree to the fact that you do not have to pay just to cross to other beaches, but you crossed on private property. Thus it's the business' right to sanction monetary value to get access to their land, look it up. It would have been OK if you just had patience in true traveling... There are other roads to get to other resorts for FREE but you just had to use your least way of thinking. I respect your comment since there is such a thing we call freedom of speech and I will not stop you from that. Another point is that people are not perfect, and so are you but you don't have to tell to the whole wide world that you had a booboo. You are not patriotic, you are not worthy of proper care, and it seems you lack attention from significant people in your life. Your site is entitled LOVE MINDANAO correct?, but your blog does not show love for it. It also seems to be obvious that you have the lack of intelligence to understand rules and regulations. In this day and age you have to pay to get satisfaction, everything you do in our current economy means you have to use money to get a smile and feel relaxed. I assume that you might know how it feels to work, maybe. But if you do, then you should be working for FREE since you hate paying for luxury.
ReplyDeleteit seems you do not understand business... maybe yang deposit na 1000 is used to make sure that the borrower returns the item properly.
ReplyDeleteHence i only visit Isla Jardin and stayed there several times for a couple of days to a week.
ReplyDeleteam still trying to confirm the resort name...was with about ahundred guests fr othr city and arrived by noon. We have to wait in the heat until their bogiks staff could finish actual head count. Won't let vans take the shade and do headcount there. Afrer that they won't let drivers in, wla daw naapil sa reservation, kahit dami sobra kc meron d sumama. Finally reaching the cottages, there was a delay. Gustong pagbayarin ang tour operator ng separate bill for cottages, that's after charging 450 per head. Asa niya pakan on ang paying guests who paid in advance, sa balas? The woe continous...as the manila based tour operator approached, gibadlong molingkod kay cottage daw butanganan sa food.. instead of welcoming the guests, giduphan ang food kay basig mamulot og food ang guests, eh wala naman ibang guests that time at gutom cla pagod and most of all, paid in advance. Late naman gani sila prepare... and by the way, I gave my food stub to the driver, our van has to go to the hospital, na high blood sa kadugay nabulad sa init. They don't have a madical staff or a med kit.
ReplyDelete... ask glan Hospital staff about this experience....
thanks for this warning...I'd been to Rosal and thankfully we did not encounter any problem at all..but never had gone to Coco or White Haven. Well, now I know.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had our beach wedding at White Haven way back 2010. We rented all the sleeping and beachfront cottages na but our guests were still charged with an entrance fee kahit na di naman maliligo sa beach. Also just posted this status earlier. One reason why the quality of beach in Gumasa has changed is also because of the Sarbay Fest.
ReplyDelete"The launching of Sarangani Bay Festival is mandated by Provincial Ordinance No. 2006-5-30, enacted March 2006 by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to inculcate on the stakeholders the importance for a continuous awareness drive of protecting the bay"
Sadly, instead of protecting the bay and promoting the wonders of Gumasa, what happens every Sarbay Festival is otherwise. We can even it call it "Sarbay Waste Festival" for that matter.
The supposedly 6kms of pristine white sand and amazing crystal clear blue waters turns into a sea of waste. There's a vast stretch of sleeping tents filled with party goers nursing a hangover; countless commercial stall booths with poor waste management; bottles of liquor and water everywhere; plastics all over the place; and take note, even hazardous wastes were found (firecrackers). Plus the sweet breeze of air was replaced by the putrid smell of sweat, liquor, urine and vomit.
Talked to the MENRO Officals of Glan and they said that waste management has always been a major problem every SarBay Festival. My former company organized a Coastal Clean Up last year and we collected 680kgs of trash only from a 1km stretch of beachfront. We were not allowed to go beyond the other resorts.
i was in Isla Jardin Del Mar recently...galing ng service, nice beach, secured at mura lng cottage with free breakfast.babalik ako doon soon
ReplyDeleteMy friends and i went to coco beach resort. Matagal before kami naentertain ng akong friend kay daghan daw kaayo guest nla that day. WELL... summer man gud. Weekend pa jud. Of course daghan tao magparty party ana. YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!! We saved a lot since we contacted them earlier... kaya na figure out namin which cottages ang pinaka sulit. We were really in a tight budget so sa start plng we asked for discount na agad. Hahahah... WE ARE PINOY EH!!. mahilig sa discount. Lol.
ReplyDeletelovemindanao... it's quite sad your being tactless with your post. Well.. we too had a bad encounter but then.. they too had their job.. maybe a job they want to protect kaya they FOLLOW THEIR RULES strictly. Kasi naman... Private property. Mas mabuti na un kaysa sa government. Less coruption.
It's so hard to be an employee.. i know everyone knows that... specially with that responsibility na everything will fall apart in an instance. I HAD THAT EXPERIENCE. Due to certain circumstances natanggal ko sa trabaho. WelI.. stress ako nun. Stress ung customer..BOOM! laking gulo aftr. We know naman na we cannot please every customer. Pero i got fired because of certain misunderstanding. :( but it has nothing to do with this matter.. but well then...
I JUST HOPE THIS WON'T AFFECT "it's more fun in the philippines" we are pinoy we should support our country no matter what and educate ourselves with the consequences of everything we do. Hahahaah... emotional much? It's just that i think it could not only those beach resort kundi pati gumasa, pati glan.. and it goes on and on. Looking in a greater scale kasi pag nasa internet na.. everyone can see it na even tourists. I just hope everyone are open minded. Unta dili igeneralaze ang experiences ng iba. Its for ourselves after all. LONG LIVE PHILIPPINES!
I searched for that resort yesterday online kasi dyan kami magcelebrate ng birthday ng kapatid ko.. to my surprise.. ito ang nakita ko.
ReplyDeleteNa turn off ako, sinabi ko kanila mama pero we already made our reservation and they were not convinced.. so pinuntahan namin.
It was'nt bad naman pla. Kala ko it will ruin all our plans. Pero the sand and the waves are the best. Sana nga hindi to makaapekto in a greater scale. Tama yan!
LONG LIVE PHILIPPINES!!!
Mabagal tlga sila. It was bad at start pero their white sand is still the best!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha... pinoy talaga. Mahilig sa discount at libre. Kaya hindi umuunlad tong bansa natin eh. Walang patutunguhan yan.
Tama talaga yan. Tayo tayo lang din mga pinoy nagsisiraan. LONG LIVE PHILIPPINES!! Suportahan ang sariling atin. Nasaksihan ko ang pagunlad ng beaches na yan kasi madalas kami sa gumasa and i understand them kasi i'm a business person too.
Rebecca rivera. I was an employee too. Naiintindihan kita. And that's true! We cannot please everyone nga naman.
LONG LIVE PHILIPPINES

ReplyDeleteThe CLIENTS or GUESTS are expected to be treated well and with courtesy no matter what and it is a general rule. Tell this to all the people here who have experienced the ill treatment and bad service of those resorts. What I have written is purely a testimony of my actual experience and it is not a generalization if you really know how to analyze or read an article. If I generalized or being tactless on my statement I would have said not to PATRONIZE GUMASA.but instead I just focused on the resorts where I received rudeness and illogical actions. Come to think a lot of comments here share the same sentiments and I was surprised to know they had the same experience. Change is GOOD leave the bad things behind.
ReplyDeleteThis is really sad to know @Laracroft... im so disappointed with what they have done to the place. such a shame.
ReplyDeleteIt was my personal experience .. but it so happen this is not a sole case of rudeness and I was surprised there were others who received the same ill treatment. glad you had a better day in Gumasa
ReplyDeleteI could only say OK in your comment. thanks @oh shit . but it seemed you have no clue on the story I have just posted. Hey btw read the feedback of other people.. looks like they received same ill treatment as well ..i truly love mindanao and i need to abolish those who put a bad image on it like these RESORTS! unless they make changes on their system or put up a seminar and change the way they treat their source of livelihood.. opppss that's US
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more @Remegio Rey... sad to know they are not investing on good and quality service . sayang ang place kung bastos at walang modo ung mga nag ooperate.
ReplyDeleteHi @Helloimav what was written about how they receive their guests was a complete opposite on how bad they received us personally .. I agree they must be joking ...
ReplyDeleteHi @Claire | Traveling Light I just need to express the real situation so others would be informed or at least adjust their expectation. This is just disheartening that a few are tarnishing the good image we are building for Mindanao...:(
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you had the same experience ..At least now I know I am not alone on this one.
ReplyDeleteJUst trying to be honest on my observation @Juanderful Pinoy ...
ReplyDeletewow! sounded you had an ill experience too with the resort,.
ReplyDeleteGlad I didn't @Backpacker or else the article will come up like a circus ..
ReplyDeleteas what Backpacker said , don't wish to meet the owner, worst than the staff according to him
ReplyDeletewe all have the will to choose especially if we are paying for it @Tata.
ReplyDeletereally disappointing @mae ann...they treated their customers like cash cows ...
ReplyDeleteIsla hardin is best :3
ReplyDeleteWOW! It looks like a lot of people like Isla Jardin del Mar! On behalf of the Isla Jardin del Mar staff, we would like to thank all of the contributors with positive comments towards Isla Jardin del Mar. I'll make sure that our staff read this blog, so they'll see how appreciated they are by the guest they serve. This will greatly improve our moral and we'll strive to do our very best to reach each and every valued guests needs.
ReplyDeleteThank you again @lovemindanao!
P.S
*We've added three new buildings, they are our Duplexes (Air-condition and made out of cement)
*We've expanded our restaurant/kitchen area to accommodate the growing needs of our guests
*We've also added a trail that leads to "Hidden Spots of Beach"(See Picture)
*Right now we are working on a small 2 feet wall, to help protect the cottages against the sands and waves. Construction is still on-going so we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
hmm Livelihood you say... how can they make a living if the target market is not that great. Yes target market... and the likes of you might not be their target market... DOT wants to increase the tourism of Mindanao.... and all you're doing is just showing how the people lack support in these kinds of businesses which invites tourist... think about it how can they gain the proper amount of capital in order to serve their clients better? hmm didn't think that through did you? the resorts are to young to be of the best standards but it seems they are trying their best. You as a blogger shows that you are just a one sided person and would only do anything just to get attention... you could have used kinder words, or could just have gotten the attention of the provincial tourism office, but your ego got the best of you and just went with what would be more convenient, not knowing that you're also hurting the land that you "love".... but it just doesn't show... and again I read everything and all the peoples comments... and only one thing comes to common ground... the people want FREE access and FREE everything... obviously free is better right? WRONG! free is OK when you do not expect any quality in return. just like your computer... you want quality then you pay for quality... and BTW cottages and other amenities are not unlimited... get that through your thick skull...
ReplyDeleteHi @Sydney Tan glad you found this article . I tried to call your hotel when I was in Gen San and it was a bad faith the phone was unattended that forced me to go directly to Coco Beach. I was really in a hurry that day and I couldn't wait or at least drop by at your place for direction to Isla Jardin. Maybe next time i will just visit your resort and take a short vacation to relax there ...
ReplyDeletethe people have spoken ... ill just let their sentiments flood this article....oh thanks for dropping by again @oh shit...
ReplyDeleteyou're hiding behind their shadows... please... it started with you so it's all you... it seems you are happy with the publicity that you are gaining... and it seems there are a lot of things that I have stated that is far form your understanding... change your blog name to hatemindanao... you do not have the right in using lovemindanao...
ReplyDeleteas part of my obligation as blogger . I have to be honest with my observation and it is also part of my obligation to expose people, establishments and services that continue to tarnish the beauty of Mindanao...the people have to be informed and the bad elements must be eliminated from the circulation...I guess you and your company is one of them .. thanks for another hit . :D
ReplyDeletethat spot is 10x or more better than the beach front of Coco and White Haven
ReplyDeletesad to hear oh well never liked that place to begin with, wit all the
ReplyDeletehype and publicity it got a few years ago.it's really not that worth the
trip. the only attention you get from staff is that if you ejaculate
money in front of them.
I'm sure everyone can sympathize with that experience. These resorts can be an asset to our land, especially when we just think of the efforts visitor must endure in order to get there, just because they have read that this place is beautiful and some people are patronizing it. In this case; when they treated visitors like this, is a disaster. We can't blame those workers nor the management for giving the worst accommodations. Why is that? They are not properly educated about the business and the huge opportunities if they handle the situations well enough to give satisfaction. Someone or somebody has to man up the situation. If locals can't handle it, we are pretty sure someone can make a change. If there are Gov't officials we can approach to send our sympathy empathizing with people who visited the place and the impact that may affect everyone. Don't get me wrong, I understand our Gov't officials tricks, but thinking that someone is there waiting to be called and get their attention and do something about it.
ReplyDeleteI also experience the same treatment sa dalawang resort na yan when I first visited Gumasa, Glan last 2011. Pero just recently nung holy week. I'm surprised that Isla Jardin Del Mar accepted backpackers w/ tent sa resort nila, considering sila ang pinaka class sa buong town. I'll definitely book sa Isla Jardin Del Mar next time.
ReplyDeleteit sure is... and we love that place... it's always clean and the sand is just amazing... one day I'm gonna buy that place. ^_^ and I'll make sure the services and prices wont be the same as the neighbors's ^_^
ReplyDeletebetter choice .. glad u never had that experience just like other people who expressed their dismay with these two resorts...
ReplyDeleteomg! i cant handle those kind of gestures and service.even high-end resorts knows how to respect and value their customers from class A to the lowest! been in cebu, they have a lot of bestest resorts.and theyll let you check, like stroll around, rest and enjoy the view on their very own resorts, without asking any penny!! these bitches needs to undergo proper training! duhh!
ReplyDeleteasa ni dapit?
ReplyDeletetry brod louie the staff are very friendly and accomodating
ReplyDeleteOk next time i will try isla jardin. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteI didn't enjoy my stay here. There's an extra charge for everything - plates, utensils, cups, etc. We even ended up arguing with the receptionists. One the worst resorts I've been in.
ReplyDeletewww.mfsays.blogspot.com
Oh hey, sorry to hear that. Anyway, if you do intend to visit us again, you can contact Isla Jardin Del Mar at these numbers
ReplyDeleteLand-line- (083)893-0032
Globe - 0917-253-6105
Please let us know in advance because sometimes we tend be fully booked, but you are still allowed in the resort and spend the night.
sure .i will definitely call when i happen to around in the region:)
ReplyDeletewow!.. nice kaayo ang place, where man na dapita?...
ReplyDeletemaau pa sa cagwait mo maligo.. hehehe.. the place and the people are friendly!! didto jud mi always..
ReplyDeleteSolution is already there but someone must do the execution to explain what happen if they're doing that. School already told us the basics but shared experiences and defining it will create a huge impact. The obvious thing that really is considerable to this scenario is they don't know the value of their customers, nor the management; they do not care as long as you pay.
Worth sharing for! I had the same experience back in 2010 but im a little lucky as there was some empty cottages but same treatment from the owner-acting-staff! This blog needs to be broadcasted so that the owner of the said resorts will do something about their impolite and harsh workers!
ReplyDeleteWhen people visit other places expectedly they really have budgets with them...I don't agree that they just want it for FREE...i guess when you spend money it's for a reasonable fee..when you pay for service it should be a quality service..then for sure there will be no question!at the end of the day if it's a hospitality industry CUSTOMER SERVICE should always be on top of the line..it's not a good reason to say that it's business...it's not pleasing to say that it's our rules and regulations so you must follow...in customer service everything is POSSIBLE!
ReplyDeletejeezus, whoever you are. this article doesn't generalize Mindanao. He's not hurting Mindanao. He didn't mention anything about not going to Gumasa / Mindanao. It's only about the blogger's bad experience in ONE bad resort. Wtf is your problem with that? Are you the owner? If you are, then all you have to do is apologize and TRAIN your staff. Close this shitty situation, because judging by the many bad comments for your resort, there IS something wrong with your resort. Accept that fact and DEAL with it. Period.
ReplyDeleteBtw, being a young resort is NOT an excuse for bad service. There are so many young resorts with exceptional service. Improve your resort and rid yourself of bad reviews. Goodluck, man.
ok.. Yea, they shouldn't have told you to pay for a cottage if they were booked in the first place. They require you to pay to enter the resort because that's their only source of income (for the workers). You probably went to
ReplyDeleteWhite Haven Beach Gumasa during the summer or when every one was on
vacation. The trick is to go during Spring time.. My husband & I
were there in March of this year, we were the only ones there! 500 pesos for a cottage
is equivalent to about $12. Cry me a river!!
Maybe in my next life pa ko mubalik dinha..WTF!!
ReplyDeletePataka lang mani nga blogger. Wala lang dyud ka kwarta pambayad.
ReplyDeleteno I am not :)
ReplyDeleteWonder what the Provincial Tourism Council of Sarangani thinks and would say about these Gumasa resorts that government has been spending promotions money on.
ReplyDeleteWonder too if these resorts are covered by SAPA-MOA with SBPS-PAMB or if they have ECCs already. In case you need assistance on these environmental permits, we can help. You may contact 09983302519 or email ecotrendsconsultingservices@gmail.com.
Hoy @Oh Shit! Bakit? Open na ba ang pamilyang Adarna sa mga panukala ng Tourism officers, whether from the municipality, province or DOT itself? I doubt it. The province has done its share already by first, coming up with the SarBay Fest and making Gumasa, the center of activities. So anong sinasabi mo sa mali-mali mong ingles na "how the people lack support in these kinds of businesses which invites (sic) tourist (sic).."?
How does that describe just what kind of resorts you have?
At saka, hello? Anong free access ang sinasabi mo? HOy! Ganun? Agad-agad? Wala man lang "Sorry po....".
Stupid.
that is just sad to hear . How i wish this issue had been raised long before . The Tourism sector i believe could intervene to make things better in Gumasa
ReplyDeleteWill do . as this article make a trend around the net. for sure the thousands of readers of this article will turn their direction to Isla Jardin .
ReplyDeletewow .. i never knew there was an issue of non-cooperativeness from the operators of these resorts. Such a shame! They will be pulled down by their own pride .. no need to apologize!
Lol.
ReplyDeleteCriticizing your grammar was a joke, dude. Hehe. It was a part of the comment. Did you even read the entire thing? Mao nay sakit sa uban tao. Paminaw nila they deserve to be treated well at all times. Wa ka nanawag ahead of time to ask kung fully booked ba or dili. Tas pag.abot nimo fully booked na unya mamugos paka. Kinsay mali didto? Eh di ikaw. I'd say that you weren't badly. The employees were just doing their jobs. Kung ikaw naa sa ilang lugar, would you risk losing your job just so you can accommodate a blogger who's a nobody but feels like he's someone special? I guess not.
ReplyDeleteI'd agree with oh shit. Hehehe. I'd say this post was intended to please the blogger's poor ego. I guess he was feeling down as nobody was reading his posts. Huhu.
ReplyDeleteHe paid 30php and he already thinks that he's the source of their livelihood. What a poor joke.
ReplyDeletetell it to the 53,771 readers as of this hour and 5380 people who shared this article who have shared their sentiments against your poor service.. the people have spoken .. i wont be surprised if there will be a boycott on your resort to happen in the coming future .. poor service, poor facility ...poor you ...
ReplyDelete@Toink you must have never read it correctly . i suggest widen your comprehension to understand the point of the article ..
ReplyDeletebetter choice @Boldface .. you'll never go wrong with them ..coco and white heaven need a good seminar about what customer service is..
ReplyDeleteThat is the funniest comment I have read here ... hahaha . true every move you have and every simple request you have to pay for it .. bad bad service
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame (and what a waste) these two beach resorts, which owned by these siblings, are not so customer/tourist friendly. And I don't get why some (two if im not mistaken
ReplyDelete) people in the comments are defending these beach resorts' way of treating guests when apparently a lot of people have experience the same thing. It's simple really: if your ego is too big to treat guests with respect, knowing that you're in a hospitality and customer management industry, then its probably best to go out of business. Translation: MAGSARA NA KAYO! :) You're welcome.
they are in the hospitality business and in the forefront of the Philippines' tourism campaign, these resort owners and staff should bear that in mind and NOT only think about earning money but make sure each guest get their money's worth and have a wonderful stay. the local tourism board should take the initiative in pointing out or educating these resort owners about the importance of treating each guest politely.
ReplyDeletei think it is not in their SOP to be polite and sensitive to the needs of their clients.they are in the wrong line of business. Even the Provincial Tourism Office hates them.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! While the views and the greens are nice, service and accommodation here are truly bad!
ReplyDeleteWith the popularity of your blog and this post, I think they will be pushed down to the end of the world in no time whaha.
ReplyDeletetechnically, if you walk by the beach with water na ankle-deep, it's no longer private property. it's owned by all Filipinos.
ReplyDeleteSorry to here about your unfrotunate experience. I am so sad that there a lot of resorts that would discriminate lalo na pag pinoy ka. I am sure that there are a lot of resorts in that area that would be willing to host you and assist you.
ReplyDeletetoo bad about these resorts. I really hate it when they try to commercialize it a lot but not take good care of the place itself.
ReplyDeleteI don't own any of the resorts. Please learn to read. Hehe. If you want to be a critic, do things constructively rather than just throwing rants all over the place. Write down suggestions that will help these resorts improve their services. You're pulling the place down as a tourist spot rather than promoting it. Whether your whiny ass likes it or not, the people who own these resorts contribute to the progress of the place. They've invested time, money, and effort to improve it, provide jobs to the locals, and boost its economy. What have you done really? Well? Right. Nothing. If you're thinking, "But I made this post." NO. This is clearly one-sided and self-centered. And for the record, I'm an online marketer. I place websites and videos on the first page of Google. Your 530,771 readers don't even come close. Lastly, pag-bisaya nalang uy. Luoy kaayo ang quality sa imong English. :)
ReplyDeletethat is a bad experience. i guess they are trying to make some more money than usual. i've never experience this in beaches back in thailand most of them cannot speak and understand eghlish but all of them are polite sad to read this post i feel bad for them
I buy their alibi na fully booked but at least speak it out in a diplomatic way. My say, hindi ka kasi foreign visitor.
ReplyDeleteNow, that is frustrating - they are in the industry of service - so they should treat people, clients and customers with care and attention. That is just a big disappointment.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a bad experience especially in terms of customer services. They don't deserve customers.
ReplyDeleteawwww that's really irritating! and those two resorts really deserves a rant blog post!. I feel you bro
ReplyDeleteHopefully all things will be judged fairly. Haven't heard of them but let God.
ReplyDeleteThat beach looking awesome.amazing photos.
ReplyDeleteTsk tsk tsk, I'm sorry to hear this sad news. Kahit maganda yung place kung hindi maayos and service, nakaka walang gana puntahan. Nakakainis din na ikaw na nga yung lumalapit to pay for something na you think hindi deserving just to stay in that place, sila pa yung umaayaw.
ReplyDeletehahaha.. goodluck sa career mo ...
ReplyDeleteYou are right we should not patronize establishments like this who doesn't treat customers right.
ReplyDeletePasyal ka na lang dito sa kin.... here's my beach hideaway adventure in Bataan... check my FB page BATAAN NATURE ADVENTURES
ReplyDeletethanks for the invitation @Mike Manlapid Apostol.. private message sent to your page :D
ReplyDeleteI day toured Coco Beach Resort before but didn't get the same treatment, maybe because there was no one there when we visited. Too bad you were treated poorly, it ruins the experience of the beach.
ReplyDelete-Wanderer Juan
it is sad that people got to have this precious things around them but their making it worst with their ugly manners
ReplyDeleteaw... the owners are siblings.. so I guess they follow the same practices.. but that's just really unwelcoming. ang view na lang ang gabawi sa gimalas na hitabo. (aw. did i get my bisaya, right?) lol
ReplyDeleteI agree with this. We went there last holyweek and same scenario happen. tho we already have advance booking at coco, but we cannot come in to our reserved room cause 2pm pa daw, then fine. When we enter the room, a lot of mosquitos like a bees all over. Very disappointing front desk for Coco. Isali narin ang Whitehaven and Rosal They are pathetic when you talk to them as you say something, mostly Rosal, i think they need to seminar on how to handle clients. The beach is not so good, and they are not so good when in terms on costumer service huh.. They need better improvements. As a traveller and blogger i wont recommend this place even im from Mindanao. =( so sad. Ill just post my experience on my blog soon =)
ReplyDeletewww.rickzlaagan.blogspot.com @rickz_07
Rosal Beach Resort
I will share my same scenario on my blog www.rickzlaagan.blogspot.com ; I agree on this blog. dahil jan. ishare kita ll over.. =)
ReplyDeleteI never had a chance to visit Gumasa even if it's just few hours drive away from my place :) After reading this article, I don't think I will be coming there any time soon. Nakakafrustrate.
ReplyDelete"I dont know any of the resorts", accdg to Mister Krabs but in an earlier post, he wrote: "The son of the owners of White Haven is a good friend of mine...". God! How inconsistent itong paid apologist ng White Haven and Coco. Ewww!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh such a pity. One thing I love so much about beaches in Thailand is that there are no fences, and it is not own by a single person.
ReplyDeletehi @rickz , thanks for the sympathy.I just want them to realize that if you are in the hospitality business, you have to really show hospitality. Thank you for sharing this article . I am so jarred that it wasn't alone on this one ... Let me know if you have made the article so i could share as well .Daghan salamat
ReplyDeleteThat is not the right way to treat guests. These resorts should be boycotted!
ReplyDeleteasa mn to?
ReplyDeleteasa na dapita kay suwayan ug adto :)
ReplyDeletenakaligo nako aning litsi nga coco beach, dagha'g dikya.. tabla pa sa times beach purya gaba :D lamang ra aning coco beach sa times beach kay white sand :D :D
ReplyDeleteingna imong migo/miga nga tag-iya anang beach kol panirado nalang :D :D :D
ReplyDeletenobody paid me to this . It's not about the place .. it's about the service. have you read the content of the article? did i mention anything am promoting? it's the readers' testimony who drop the names of the resorts and their experiences ...
ReplyDeleteIt sounds that you are promoting isla jardin! I've been there and the road is not safe and so mabato.well, sana di ka ma comment sa mga na convinced mo.and hope na ang hanggad mo na i post ang comment mo dahil sa experienced mo sa 2bitch na binangit mo.pero na pansin ko lang ha ,pag may nag comment din sinasabayan mo ng isla jardin.wag kang magalit ha nagtataka lang ako.may mas magandang beach pa naman na iba di ba?nan dyan na tayo sa bastos nilang staff di ba mas maganda kung mag suggest ka nalang sa mga owners?iyang bakla na staff na yabangan din kami kaya di nalang bumalik para walang regret.tama din ginawa mong i post comment mo.tulad ng sinabi ko sana di promotion ang purpose mo.good day to you!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky not to have joined the Sarbay Festival. Ma HB siguro ka. Lol
ReplyDeleteHi @Lhen Robles Ishikawa if you are a keen reader and analyst ( i guess you are not) i have never mentioned a thing about other resorts in the article. And if i responded on the comments , it is because it my obligation to respond and give my honest opinion and suggestion, the very purpose of my article. It seems you are very affected and for that , i realized i am just effective. thanks for that. and for your information this is unpaid or unsolicited article. react ng react di naman alam ang issue...
ReplyDelete@Cassie Auxj it is not my dream to swim on a filthy beach where garbage are seen all over the place. baka mabaliw ako ng todo . nakakapanghinayang talaga ang ganda ng Gumasa ..inaabuso nila
ReplyDeleteWe do also experienced such ill-mannered way from coco beach resort. They won't even let me enter just to check their cottages before deciding to have one. You can't have a single sight of the beach if you haven't paid yet the entrance fee. Pathetic :P
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame@Bug Burn ... they are in the hospitality business but seems they don't even know the term ...
ReplyDeleteLovemindanao please answer your phone
ReplyDeletesorry if i missed your call ..pls kindly send me a text message or call me back ... thanks
ReplyDeleteITS A WONDERFUL PLACE, CONTINUE STRIVING FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE RESORT AND COMPANY AS WELL... STAY HUMBLE AND HOSPITABLE ON THE STAFF.
ReplyDeleteThat's the property of Manny Pacquiao. It's just raw land/beach, so now fence nor huts. But if the caretaker (who lives across the highway) finds you lounging or swimming there, he might ask you for a "donation." I didn't get to pay because the caretaker and his family was out when i went there.
ReplyDeleteApril.
ReplyDeleteGanun pala sila mgtreat ng mga customer nila..ngpaplano pa n,an ako na fun dalhin ang australian bf ko and his sister from australia,at pinagmalaki ko pa na we filipinos are hospitable sa ngayon i change my mind..kasi mapapahiya lng ako.,and i heard about isla jardin..well thats the perfect beach na pgdadalhan ko sa kanila..the beauty of the beach is useless kung ang pangit nman ng pgtanggap sa mga guest nila...
isla jardin final destination my friends also recomended this resort for us..:)cant wait to be there
soon^_^
there are other resorts in the area. I have never been to Isla Jardin del Mar .. but based on the comments and suggestions here ,it's worth a try.
ReplyDeleteIsla Jardin is my favorite now actually. My nephew and I went to Gumasa last December and was already expecting the rude treatment of the personnel of the three resorts based on my prior visits. They did not disappoint with their rudeness. We were refused entry since they were fully booked. The resorts could not accommodate two more persons? Really now. We decided to go visit Isla Jardin instead. On our approach I was expecting the same rudeness, since I was still in the vicinity of hospitality business crudeness. To my utter surprise the guard was nice and the reception people were accommodating and efficient. No forced cottage rent, no hard sell bullshit.
ReplyDeleteAhh the coral reefs just few feet from the beach! I could not stop my 'wows' while snorkeling. Underwater life is just superb! Better than the one's in Galera, Langkawi and even Krabi! Again, just a few laps from the beach! (sorry for the exclamation marks, i'm trying to make a point) It does not hurt that after snorkeling, the white beach beacons.
The whole time, the lifeguard was watching over me. So kudos to him.
Suggestion: Make snorkeling a part of the offerings of the resort. The underwater life is actually the greatest asset of the resort. The thing that sets it apart from the other resorts in Gumasa, aside from your nice personnel of course!
Thank you Isla Jardin. I definitely will be back this December.
ditto. agree. the comments are supposed to encourage the resort owners to improve their service.
ReplyDelete@Lhen , if you drag the comment up you'll see that it was the reader who commented and refer Isla Jardin.
ReplyDeleteIlovemindanao is a respective blogger and I don't think he wrote the article to ruin the business but the business ruined itself. Enough about the "incorrect grammar" thingy (even native americans have grammar lapses). Dennis is a blogger and has the right to tell us what he'd experienced and as a prospective customers of Coco Beach we have the right to know. To Coco Beach- to do something to improve your poor customer service and don't mess up with your clients especially if you don't know how influential they are.
ReplyDeleteI think people are willing to pay, that's expected. But CONSIDERING that RESORTS are in the SERVICE INDUSTRY, they are expected to provide the BASICS of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
ReplyDeleteI think you do not understand what GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE means. Moreover, you do not understand GOING THE EXTRA MILE. Resorts belong to the SERVICE INDUSTRY. They must live by the NAME.
ReplyDeletePanalo ang Brod Louie sa Customer Service. It's unfortunate that they don't have the nicest shore
ReplyDeletewhen i return to Gumasa, i will be checking out Brod Louie
